PACT Act presumptive conditions: the official VA list
This list is copied from VA's own page, The PACT Act and your VA benefits (VA marks it "Last updated: June 2, 2026"; we checked it Oct 15, 2026). Nothing here is added or guessed. If VA changes the list, VA's page wins.
What "presumptive" means: normally you must prove your service caused a condition. For a presumptive condition, VA assumes the link. You only have to meet the service requirement (where and when you served).

What to do with this
- Lock your date first. Submit an intent to file; it holds your potential start date for 1 year.
- New claim: file online (how to file). Trouble logging in? VA.gov sign-in help.
- Denied before, and your condition is now presumptive? VA says you can file a Supplemental Claim. You don't have to wait for VA to contact you.
- Claim already pending? VA says you don't need to do anything; it will still consider the condition presumptive.
- Health care: many Gulf War, post-9/11 and Vietnam-era veterans can enroll in VA health care under the PACT Act without a disability claim first. Every enrolled veteran gets a toxic exposure screening. PACT Act line: 800-698-2411 (TTY: 711).
- Survivors: DIC, accrued benefits and Survivors Pension may apply; see the VA page.
