Free PCS and deployment planner
Free, with no email and no account. Enter your report date and get a dated timeline, a checklist and estimates for BAH, DLA, TLE and mileage from official DTMO and JTR numbers. Then print it or add it to your calendar. Switch to deployment mode for a pre-deployment checklist and countdown.
Your data stays on your device. The planner runs in your browser and sends nothing you type to any server. If "Remember on this device" is on, your answers are saved in this browser's local storage only, and "Erase my data" deletes them. To look up BAH, the page downloads DTMO's 2026 rate file and searches it on your device. No analytics run on your inputs.

How the planner works
PCS mode counts backward from your RNLTD. You get one day of travel for the first 400 miles; past that, the planner divides the official distance by 350 and adds a day if the remainder is 51 miles or more (JTR, as summarized by DTMO). It schedules your departure so you arrive the day before your RNLTD, puts planning milestones around that, and labels each one so you know what's a rule and what's just our suggestion.
Sourced and calculated: 2026 BAH (DTMO rate file, the same data as our BAH calculator), 2026 primary DLA (DTMO table), HHG weight allowance (NAVSUP/JTR), MALT at $0.235 per mile from July 1, 2026 ($0.205 before), JTR travel days, the TLE percentage table and $290 daily cap with 21 days for CONUS moves, and deployment pay (HFP $450 or IDP $275, FSA $300, SDP 10% on up to $10,000). Linked only, not calculated: PPM incentives (100% of the GCC, from DPS or MilMove), locality per diem and TLE rates (enter yours from GSA), OHA for overseas moves, and the official driving distance (DTOD). Calendar files and text downloads are built in your browser.
Deployment mode counts down to your deployment date and spaces out the legal, insurance, family-care and pay steps. The lead times are our suggestions; the rules and rates come from the official pages linked on each step.
What we couldn't fully verify: DTMO's TLE FAQ still says "up to 7 or 14 days" in one answer, while JTR Table 5-13 (changed Nov. 2024) and the rest of the FAQ say 21 days for CONUS moves. We use 21. The Army benefits page we cite for "typically up to 10 days" of PTDY for house hunting also still lists older TLE and mileage numbers; PTDY rules differ by branch. The "DLA paid about a month before your move" timing comes from a 2022 DoD announcement, so confirm it with finance. The 90-day booking target is Marine Corps guidance, and filing the travel claim during in-processing comes from an Army post's help sheet. Other branches may differ. MALT and BAH for 2027 aren't published yet, so 2027 dates show 2026 rates and say so. We read official pages through a fetch service because .mil sites block our server.
FAQ
Is this PCS planner really free?
Yes. There's no paywall, no account and no email required, and every feature works without signing up. Your answers are saved only in this browser's local storage when "Remember on this device" is on, and the "Erase my data" button deletes them. Nothing you type is sent to our server or any other.
How does the planner pick the dates?
It counts backward from your report-no-later-than date (RNLTD). Each step is labeled: Required (a rule or deadline, like your RNLTD or the 45-day PPM claim deadline), Official guidance (what an official source recommends, like starting your move in DPS as soon as you have orders), Calculated (from a JTR formula, like travel days), or Planning suggestion (our default spacing, not a rule). Your unit and transportation office set the real dates.
When does BAH at my new duty station start?
On the day you report to the new duty station. Until then you're paid at your old station's rate. The planner looks up 2026 BAH for the gaining ZIP code or housing area in DTMO's official 2026 rate file.
How much is TLE for a PCS in 2026?
For a move to a duty station in the continental U.S., TLE can be paid for up to 21 days total, split between the old and new stations, at no more than $290 a day. The daily amount is a percentage of the local per diem rate: 65% for one person, 100% for two, plus 35% for each additional dependent 12 or older and 25% for each one under 12. You need itemized lodging receipts.
What is the PCS mileage (MALT) rate?
DTMO lists $0.235 per mile per authorized vehicle for PCS travel on or after July 1, 2026, up from $0.205 earlier in 2026. You get one travel day for the first 400 miles; beyond that, divide the distance by 350 and add a day if the remainder is 51 miles or more. The planner can't measure driving distance, so you enter the miles.
Why doesn't the planner give a dollar estimate for my PPM?
Because the government pays 100% of the Government Constructed Cost (GCC), which comes from mover pricing that isn't a public rate table. Get your official estimate in DPS or MilMove, or from your transportation office, then use our PPM calculator to see your profit and advance.
What extra pay do I get on a deployment?
It depends on where you go and your family situation. As of Oct. 1, 2026, Hostile Fire Pay is $450 a month and Imminent Danger Pay is $275 a month ($9.16 a day), and you can't get both in the same month. Family Separation Allowance is $300 a month if you're away from your dependents for more than 30 continuous days. Combat zone months can also be tax-free, and the Savings Deposit Program pays 10% interest on up to $10,000.
